Crimson Hexagon, Inc., and its subsidiary Crimson Hexagon Ltd (together “Crimson Hexagon”, “us,” “we,” or “our”) are committed to protecting the privacy of the users (“user”, “you” or “your”).

For the purposes of this Policy, the term, “Site(s)”, shall refer collectively to www.crimsonhexagon.com as well as the other websites that we operate and that link to this Policy. The term “Service(s)” refers to the products and services which we market for subscription.

This Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how and when we use cookies on our Sites and Services.

Cookies and Other Technologies

We may employ cookie technology to store and sometimes track information about the users of our Sites and Services. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently to improve the user experience, as well as to provide certain information to the owners of the site. Our Sites set cookies which remain on your computer for differing times. Some expire at the end of each session and some remain for longer so that when you return to our Site or Services, you will have a better user experience.  Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can change your browser to prevent the browser from accepting cookies.

By themselves cookies do not personally identify you; they merely recognize your Web browser, unless you choose to identify yourself to us, either by responding to a promotional offer, opening an account, or filling out a Web form (such as a “Ask Us a Question” or a “Sign up for a Demo”) or have previously identified yourself to us, you remain anonymous to us.

We may use tracking pixels, web beacons (small pieces of data that are embedded in images on the pages of websites) and auditing software to track page views and entry and exit points to and from the Site and Services. In addition, we may use tracking pixels, web beacons, cookies, customized links and/or similar technologies to determine whether electronic newsletters or communications sent by us, to those who have requested them from us, have been opened and which links are clicked.

Types of Information Collected

Through the use of cookie technology or otherwise, we may track and collect information about your computer and software when you visit this Site. This information may include: (i) your IP address; (ii) domain name; (iii) type of computer; (iv) type of web browser; (v) access times; and (vi) referring websites addresses (collectively “Traffic Data”). Traffic Data assists us to design and arrange our web pages in the user-friendliest manner and to continually improve our Site to better meet the needs of users.

We use the following sorts of cookies and/or other similar technologies (as described above), either alone or in combination with each other to create a unique device ID:

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our Sites and Services under our terms with you. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our Sites and Services.

  • Analytical/performance cookies. They allow us to recognize and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our Sites and Services when they are using it. This helps us for our legitimate purposes to improve the way our Sites and Services work, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.

  • Functionality cookies. These are used to recognize you when you return to our Sites and Services. This enables us, subject to your choices and preferences, to personalize our content for you, greet you by name and remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region).

  • Targeting cookies. These cookies are used to gather information about the pages on the Sites and Services that you visit, and also other information about other websites that you visit, so as to place you in a “market segment”. This information is collected by reference to the IP address that you are using and/or your unique user ID, and includes information about the county and city you are in, together with the name of your internet service provider. This information is then used to place interest-based advertisements on the Site which are believed to be relevant to your market segment.

For more information about this type of interest-based advertising, and about how to turn this feature off please visit http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/.

Some of the cookies used by the Sites and Services are set by us, and some are set by third parties who are delivering services on our behalf.
