Stephanie Newby (formerly Hanbury-Brown) is Crimson Hexagon’s CEO, responsible for the company’s vision, values, corporate strategy and operational excellence. She is also the founder of venture investment firm Golden Seeds. Her prior experience was in financial services, the majority of which was with J.P. Morgan where she headed several global businesses, including Head of eCommerce. Stephanie retains a board position with publicly traded Amec Foster Wheeler plc. Her ten prior board positions include Riskmetrics Group, Design2Launch, UK Securities & Futures Authority and Archipelago Holdings. She holds a B.A. from the University of Sydney.

Errol Apostolopoulos SVP, Product
Errol leads product strategy, design, execution and innovation at Crimson. Previously, he has successfully brought to market several separate early stage SaaS product launches including a social/mobile advertising platform (Moontoast merged with Spendsetter) and an eCommerce innovation platform (Optaros acquired by MRM/McCann). In addition, Errol was a General Manager at Razorfish. He has a B.S. from Northeastern University and attended a leadership program at Harvard Business School. Errol is married with two children and is an avid cyclist and skier.
Dana Miller Chief Customer Officer
Dana leads the Application Support, Customer Success and Analytic Services teams at Crimson. She has over 20 years of international experience in growing client services organizations from a variety of large-scale and startup software companies.
Prior to Crimson Hexagon, Dana was responsible for directing the overall customer experience for Percussion Software, directed accounts for ACS Financial & Securities Services and managed partnership enablement programs for ADC Telecommunications. She holds a B.Commerce from the University of Alberta and an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University. Dana is married with two step-children and lives in Boston with her husband and their retired greyhound.
Bud McGann Chief Revenue Officer
As Chief Revenue Officer, Bud leads revenue generation strategy and optimization across the organization. Bud drives cross-functional collaboration in the implementation of a go-to-market plan for all products and services including pricing.
Bud has been selling software since 1996 and prior to Crimson, he worked for several companies that were acquired by Oracle, IBM or SAP. Bud led various sales organizations in previous roles including General Manager and SVP of Sales for the United States and Canada during his tenure with Success Factors. Success Factors is based in San Francisco and was sold to SAP in 2012. More recently, Bud was the Chief Revenue Officer of Tidemark Systems.
Jeannine Sheehan Chief People Officer
Jeannine has over 15 years in the HR field and serves as Crimson Hexagon’s Chief People Officer. She is responsible for the company’s people strategy and provides oversight for all HR operations. She is skilled in bringing organizations through various stages of growth and change by helping employees connect their individual contributions to the larger impact they make on successful business outcomes.
Prior to joining Crimson Hexagon, Jeannine served in HR management positions at LoJack Corporation, Dunkin’ Brands and also at Digitas LBi. Jeannine earned a Bachelor of Science from Emmanuel College and her Executive Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Cornell University.
Chief Technology Officer
Chris is the founding CTO of Crimson Hexagon and brings leadership experience in software management, architecture, and development to the company. He has led the strategic design and development of enterprise-class technology products at a number of global software companies including Apple, Disney, and Netscape. Chris has also contributed to the success of several high-growth companies in the Boston technology eco-system, including Fairmarket, Coalesix, Icosystem and Jana. He is an expert in high-scalability software architecture and text analytics and is named on several U.S. patents. He holds a B.A. in computer science from Dartmouth College. Chris is an avid cyclist and musician. He lives in Cambridge with his wife and two children.
Chief Data Scientist
Aykut is advancing the technology at Crimson Hexagon and innovating products by leading research at the intersection of statistics, machine learning, and big data. Prior to Crimson, Aykut held senior roles at two MIT start-up companies, as a founding member of IAggregate, a Web software provider (acquired by ArsDigita, RedHat Linux); and as a chief scientist at Affinnova (acquired by Nielsen), an innovation technology company using evolutionary algorithms and crowd-intelligence. A native of Istanbul, he holds engineering and science degrees from Bogazici (B.S.), Miami (MS), and MIT(PhD). Aykut lives in Cambridge and is a “real football” (aka soccer) fan.
Chief Marketing Officer
Lou leads the Marketing team at Crimson Hexagon, bringing more than 20 years of experience building and leading high impact teams within global enterprises and high growth startups.
Prior to Crimson, Lou served as the Chief Marketing Officer for Attivio, a privately-held cognitive search and insight platform company. Previously, Lou was the CMO at Ektron, now Episerver, a leader in Web Content Management, and also held leadership positions at TIBCO Software and EMC, now Dell. Lou lives in Cambridge, MA, with his wife and daughter.
SVP, EMEA & APAC
Justin Khaksar joined Crimson Hexagon in July 2016 as the SVP of EMEA & APAC out of London. He is responsible for the growth and expansion of business in the Europe and APAC regions. Justin brings 19 years of experience in the marketing and enterprise technology industry with him in both public and private business environments, as well as extensive knowledge of the US and UK markets.
Prior to Joining Crimson Hexagon, Justin was the GM & VP of EMEA at Localytics, a mobile engagement provider, and has also held well-respected positions at Brightcove, Simply Media, Caspian Publishing and IDG Global Solutions. Crimson Hexagon will be Justin’s 4th Boston based business.
Chief Financial Officer
Dan leads the Finance team as CFO at Crimson Hexagon. Dan and his team fulfill Crimson’s core financial management responsibilities, including insightful reporting and analysis for the company’s many internal and external constituencies, and also play an important business partnership role across the organization.
Dan is a relative newcomer to tech, having previously served from 2014 until 2018 as CFO at Onshape, the world’s first cloud-architected CAD software company. Before Onshape, Dan worked at Harvard University where he was CFO from 2008 until 2014. Previously, Dan was a consultant at McKinsey & Company and a corporate attorney at Nutter, McClennen & Fish.
Dan earned his AB from Duke University, his JD from the University of Pennsylvania, and his MBA from the University of Virginia.
