• Omri Benayoun Board Member

    Omri Benayoun is General Partner at Partech, responsible for the Growth fund. He joined in May 2014.

    He currently sits on the boards of Brandwatch, M-Files, EcoVadis, SendinBlue and NA-KD.

    Before joining Partech, Omri had senior executive positions at worldwide retail leader Casino Group: he joined the executive committee in 2010 as EVP Corporate Planning and Strategy and in 2012, he was promoted to Deputy CEO at Cdiscount.com, the #3 eCommerce player in Europe and #1 in France. Omri also worked for Dassault Systemes, where he led Corporate development department for the worldwide leader in Product Lifecycle Management software from 2007 to 2010. He started his career, from 2002 to 2007, as a high-level civil servant at the Ministry of Economy, where he implemented government programs for start-ups and SMEs.
    Omri holds a Master’s Degree in Sciences from the Ecole Polytechnique summa cum laude and is an alumnus of the post graduate Corps des Mines program.

  • Jo Ann Corkran Board Member

    Jo Ann Corkran is the lead Managing Partner of Golden Seeds Fund 2. Prior to Golden Seeds, she spent twenty plus years on Wall Street at Credit Suisse (including as Head of CS Asset Management, Global Head of Cash & Short Duration, and US Head of Investment Grade Fixed Income), Morgan Stanley and First Boston. Jo Ann started her career as a Consulting Actuary in Econometric Modeling. She also sat on the Investment Committee of the Common Endowment Fund of the UUA 2003-2009, and the Socially Responsible Investing Committee UUA 2002-2003. She holds a B.S. in Mathematics from NYU and was a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (Lapsed).

  • Dean Nelson Board Member

    Dean Nelson joined Sageview in 2014 and is based in Greenwich.He currently serves on the board of Crimson Hexagon, 360insights, Womply and CallRail. He is a former director at Reflexis.

    From 2000 through 2013, Mr. Nelson was founder and head of KKR Capstone, an operating team focused on improving performance in KKR’s portfolio companies and providing late stage due diligence support to KKR’s investment teams. In addition to leading KKR Capstone, Dean served as CEO and President of Primedia Inc. and as Head of Worldwide Operations and Technology at First Data Corp. He also served on KKR’s Portfolio Committee. In addition, he has been a member of several boards of directors, including Del Monte Corporation, Dollar General Corporation, Primedia Inc., Sealy Corporation, Toys “R” Us Inc. and Yellow Pages Group.

    Prior to KKR, Dean was a management consultant with The Boston Consulting Group for 15 years, serving as a Partner and head of the firm’s Chicago office.

  • Sam Brooks
    Board Member

    Sam Brooks is a Partner of Highland Europe.
    Before joining Highland, Sam was a Vice President at Insight Venture Partners in New York where he spent over 6 years investing in expansion stage software and internet-enabled businesses.

    Sam currently represents Highland Europe on the Boards of Adjust, Brandwatch, Condeco Software, Maropost, Incopro, Outfittery and Camunda. He led Highland’s investment in Matchesfashion.com, prior to its majority acquisition by Apax Partners in 2017.

    While at Insight, Sam was involved with several investments including 3P Learning (ASX:3PL), Beatport (acquired by SFX), Netsmart Technologies (acquired by Genstar Capital), OverDrive (acquired by Rakuten), PerTrac Financial Solutions (acquired by eVestment), Primavera Systems (acquired by Oracle), Privalia (acquired by Vente-privee.com) and Photobox (acquired by Exponent Private Equity and Electra Partners).

    Sam holds a Dip. Computer Science from University of Cambridge and an A.B., Visual and Environmental Studies from Harvard College.

    As a former member of the U.S. National Rowing Team and Cambridge University Blue Boat, Sam has a strong interest in amateur sports. In addition to rowing, he enjoys cycling, swimming and cross-country skiing. A native of Boston, USA, Sam keeps a close eye on the Red Sox and Patriots from London, where he lives with his wife, son and two daughters.

    Carles Ferrer is a General Partner with Nauta Capital. Based in London, Carles has extensive Venture Capital experience, having raised, managed and exited different VC funds since 2000. Carles’ areas of interest include Security, SaaS, Marketing/Social Analytics/Intelligence and Critical data-driven companies.

    Carles has, among other, led deals at the following companies: Brandwatch (Social media intelligence), Scytl (Secure Electronic Voting), CloudIQ (AI powered optimisation conversion engine),Mercaux (leader in digital in-store solutions), Mishipay (mobile self-checkout solutions), ChannelSight (Buy now technologies), Agnitio (Voice Biometrics), Abiquo (Cloud Management), GetApp (Workspace for SaaS applications), BeMyEye (crowdsource market research data analytics), Smarp (Internal content hub) and Basekit (Saas web builder for SMEs).

    His previous experience includes also management positions in corporate strategy and planning/finance divisions with blue chip companies in the telecommunications, defence/SW/auto spaces and financial services

    Carles holds a Business Administration degree from Universitat de Barcelona, Graduate Programme in Administration and Management from Harvard University and an MBA from SDA Bocconi (Milan, Italy).
