Crimson Hexagon's Year in Review for 2014

2014 was an exciting year at Crimson Hexagon – we hit some big milestones, made product innovations, and grew our company with new programs, employees, and even offices.  Before launching into 2015, we want to highlight a few of the biggest moments from the past year!

Our data library reached a record 500 billion posts

With open access to a data library of half a trillion posts, our customers gained more access than ever to a rich resource for competitive analysis, campaign benchmarking, and real-time analysis.  This year, we also added Instagram and Google+ to our content library, giving our users access to two of the fastest growing platforms on the web.

We released our Affinities™ feature, delivering powerful audience metrics

Our Affinities feature delivers information about the interests of people talking about brands and products online and provides words, phrases, and example posts segment-by-segment, supporting effective media targeting and efficient assessment of market opportunities.  The feature has already been a huge success with our clients, and we’re excited to develop it even more in the coming year.

We launched the Social Impact Program, bringing social insights to nonprofits and universities

At Crimson Hexagon, we believe that social media data has the power to improve the world.  With that in mind, we launched the Social Impact Program in order to bring our platform to communities who can contribute to the public good. Our Social Impact Program provides non-profit, classroom, and research communities with reduced-fee access to our social media analytics platform, in order to promote innovation and social responsibility.

 We officially opened our European headquarters in Southbank, London

Looking to the future, we opened our new facilities within WeWork to support our global business initiatives on London’s South Bank.  This year, we also tripled the size of our EMEA team, adding to our international sales and pre-sales presence, and adding two new functions: strategic partnerships and marketing.

 Our EMEA team supported the launch of the #GivingTuesday movement in the UK

Social media analytics experts from Crimson spent the day at #GivingTuesday’s headquarters monitoring social media conversations in real time about the event to inform the organisers on the success of the event.  The event was a huge success!

We launched a new knowledge base and onboarding program for our clients

With our new knowledge base and coaching program, it’s easier than ever for our clients to get started with Forsight and become social media analytics experts.  Our team of coaches created an unprecedented range of resources to ensure our clients achieve success.

We expanded Crimson Hexagon’s global reach in key new markets

In 2014, we held our first event in Turkey with the Bogazici University.  A key region for social media utilisation, Turkey is quickly establishing a hub for digital innovation in EMEA.  We also expanded our global reach to regions including France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Nordics, South Africa, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, and Australia.  Crimson is truly going global!
