Senior Content and Digital Marketing Strategist

Elizabeth Breese is a social scientist and social media analyst.

Elizabeth graduated from Wellesley College and earned a PhD in sociology from Yale University in 2012. Elizabeth’s dissertation explored the meaning system of American journalism and explains the cultural roots of the current perception that journalism is in crisis. Elizabeth publishes articles on the public sphere, news media, and popular culture in academic journals, including Cultural Sociology and Communication Theory, and has presented her academic research at various conferences and meetings in the United States, Germany, and Greece.

Bridging the academic and social media analytics worlds, Elizabeth manages Crimson Hexagon’s Social Research Grant Program. At Crimson Hexagon, Elizabeth continues to research how people interpret the social world by analyzing social media. She loves using ForSight to discover public opinion about current events, politics, and social issues and then finding ways – through the Crimson Hexagon blog, the press, and social media – to share those social insights.

Jehan Hamedi

Jehan Hamedi

Global Market Development Manager

Jehan Hamedi is a natural strategist with a passion for investigating new media and technology. He finds solace in the ever-changing landscape of social media, and delights in challenging traditional assumptions around the business applications of consumer-generated content.

At Crimson Hexagon, Hamedi is responsible for developing the value propositions, vertical go-to-market strategies, and tailored messaging for each of the company’s domestic and international sales markets. It is his goal to discover and demonstrate new creative opportunities for companies in each industry to strategically leverage social media data–and gain competitive advantage in multiple areas of the enterprise. In his role, Hamedi collaborates with sales, marketing, editorial, client services, and strategic partnership teams on a daily basis.

As an industry thought leader, Hamedi regularly shares his expertise on social intelligence and data-driven decision-making at industry conferences and seminars; bridging the gap between industry and academia, he also frequently guest lectures on these topics at the undergraduate and MBA-level.

Hamedi graduated summa cum laude from Boston University’s School of Management, where he served as the Teaching Assistant for nine different management courses.

Born and raised outside Milwaukee, Hamedi is an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and everything Wisconsin. He is a craft beer enthusiast, and enjoys learning about the creative ingredient combinations and barrel-aged recipes of local microbreweries.

Wayne St. Amand

Wayne St. Amand

Vice President of Marketing

Wayne St. Amand is a veteran marketing leader with a proven track record of significantly accelerating the growth trajectory and valuation of technology businesses. At Crimson Hexagon, St. Amand is responsible for driving business expansion through the company’s global corporate and product marketing efforts.

Prior to joining Crimson Hexagon, St. Amand was the Director of Marketing for ExaGrid Systems, a fast-growing, multi-award-winning developer of advanced data storage and back-up appliances. Before ExaGrid, St. Amand ran Electronic Vaulting product marketing for Iron Mountain (NYSE: IRM), helping to grow the product line from $12 million to $100+ million in revenues. Prior to Iron Mountain, he managed product marketing as well as corporate communications for Connected Corporation, a provider of PC data protection services and software, which was acquired by Iron Mountain in 2004 for $120 million. Prior to Connected, St. Amand managed global corporate communications for SilverStream Software, helping the company navigate a successful IPO (NASD: SSSW) and an acquisition by Novell in 2002 for $212 million.

Earlier in his career, St. Amand led successful communications campaigns for a number of well-known technology companies including HP, Motorola and Texas Instruments, while working for several of the Boston area’s most influential marketing services firms.

St. Amand holds a B.S., with honors, in Communications and Marketing from Boston University’s College of Communication.

DJ Capobianco

DJ Capobianco

DJ is a Consultant at Crimson Hexagon, and assists brands and agencies of all sizes and industries distill meaning and procure actionable insights from the social web.

Prior to joining Crimson Hexagon, Capobianco was a member of the Digital Strategy team at Hill Holliday, where he helped design tangible plans of action to ensure the success of the Liberty Mutual brand across all digital channels’ paid, earned, and owned.

Capobianco is a graduate of Boston University’s College of Communication. Born in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and raised in the significantly flatter Albany NY, DJ’s particularly interested in higher-ed, high-tech and entertainment marketing (or anything that’s high-energy, authentic, innovative and personal).

When not at his computer physically, Capobianco’s mind probably still is. As a former Mac Specialist, he was a first-hand witness of the launch of Mac OS X Leopard and the original iPhone. Before he worked at the Apple Store, Capobianco was a ski instructor and worked with young and special-needs students throughout New York’s Capital District.

Bonus: DJ’s favorite color is orange. (But you’ll have to ask him why yourself).
